The aim of this event was to present the UNI(di)VERSITY achievements and future activities, bring together universities and key international stakeholders (UNHCR, IOM, SAR) to advance in the conversation about migration and inclusion, and to showcase the actions and support measures implemented by Italian HEIs signatories of the Manifesto of Inclusive University (developed by UNHCR).
The event was open to everyone with an interest in determining a shift in universities’ governance and strategic planning regarding equity, diversity and inclusion in relation to migration, and the integration of refugees into higher education. Despite the difficulties related to the pandemic, +30 participants attended in person from all over Italy, and +40 attendees joined online.
The event was mostly in Italian, with a few English interventions.
The event was arranged in hybrid-mode, with participants attending in presence and online.
