The events will present the results of UNI(di)VERSITY first output and the upcoming project activities.
On November and December 2021, multiplier events will be hosted by Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, and by the Fundació Solidaritat UB in Spain, to present the UNI(di)VERSITY project and the first result produced by Partners “Higher Education diversity strategies for migrant and refugee inclusion. The UNI(di)VERSITY Atlas of Inclusion”.
The two events represent an opportunity to reflect on the actions and strategies that can be implemented by universities to become more inclusive towards migrant and refugee students, and more in general on the role that higher education institutions can play in promoting inclusion and cultural diversity.
The event organised by the Fundació Solidaritat UB together with the University of Barcelona in Spain will take place on November 25, 2021. The event will be hosted by the University of Barcelona, under the title “Social and educational inclusion of refugees and migrants. The role of universities. Milestones and challenges”. It will focus on the role of universities as active agents of inclusiveness at the local, national and international level and will present initiatives for its further discussion. The event organised by the Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, in joint collaboration with UNHCR and UNIMED, will take place on December 16, 2021. The aim of the event is to present the UNI(di)VERSITY achievements and future activities, bring together universities and key international stakeholders (UNHCR, IOM, SAR) to advance in the conversation about migration and inclusion, and to showcase the actions and support measures implemented by Italian HEIs signatories of the Manifesto of Inclusive University (developed by UNHCR).
